Robert White was a midshipman in the Virginia Navy during the Revolutionary War. Information from Soldiers and Sailors of the Eastern Shore of Virginia in the Revolutionary War: It appears by evidence of Oliver Logan, that Robert White of Accomack Co., midshipman in the Virginia Navy in the Rev. War, died in Accomack Co. and left four children: Ralph who died and left no children; Robert who died intestate leaving three children: James H., Mary E. and Margaret J. White who died an infant of about 3 years of age; Elizabeth who married William Ross, both of whom are since dead leaving the following children: William, Robert, Margaret, Elizabeth, Sally, Mary and Charlotte, all of whom are yet living; Margaret who married Dixon Hall both of whom are since dead having the following children: Erastus, Eliza, Ann, Mary and Louisa Hall, all of whom are living - who are the only heirs at law of Robert White, Sr. who was a midshipman in the Virginia Navy in the Rev.
